The Registrar
The Registrar, Mr Thomas Brighton Bhebhe was born on the 7th of May 1963, in Zvimba District, Zimbabwe. Mr Bhebhe did his Primary Education at Matoranjera Primary School and did his Secondary education at St Philips High School, Guruve and Gloag High School, Bulawayo. He then proceeded to Marymount Teachers’ College were he attained a Certificate in Education.
Mr Bhebhe holds an MSc Degree in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds, UK and another Masters Degree in Educational Administration from University of Zimbabwe; Bachelors degree in Educational Administration from the University of Zimbabwe and a Certificate in Education (CE) from University of Zimbabwe. In the year 2000, Mr Bhebhe got a scholarship to study Human Resources Management at the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Higher Education Management Certificate from the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Certificate in Human Resources Management which he obtained in Israel
Mr Bhebhe has extensive experience as an educationist and educational administrator, which spans for over 22 years. He has also worked as the Provincial Education Officer in Charge of Human Resources in the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture. Before joining Chinhoyi University of Technology, Mr Bhebhe was working as Deputy Registrar – Human Resources at the University of Zimbabwe.
Mr Bhebhe brings with him wealth of experience in human resources and University management. He also brings to CUT international exposure having studied University Management Systems at Glasgow University, Strathcylde University and Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, Newcastle University and Northumbria University in England. Mr Bhebhe also travelled to the Queensland University of Technology in Australia in his pursuit of knowledge on how Universities operate.
He is married to Ruth Bhebhe and they have three boys, Simplicio, Complexio and Blessio.
