Prof. T. Bere
Position: Senior Lecturer

Prof Bere is a Freshwater Ecologist in the department of Freshwater and Fishery Science at Chinhoyi University of Technology. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Ecology and Natural Resources (Federal Universict of São Carlos-SP, Brazil), a Master of Science degree in Tropical Hydrobiology and Fisheries (University

of Zimbabwe) and a BSc Honours degree in Biological Sciences (University of Zimbabwe). His main areas of expertise (with extensive publications) include river health assessment, biological monitoring of aquatic systems, aquatic ecotoxicology, and integrated water resources management. He is also interested and has knowledge in climate change impacts, ecological modeling of freshwater systems and bio-remediation of aquatic systems. Professor Bere has acquire several research grants and fellowships including Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad (VLIR), Belgium (2003-2005); Third World Academy of Science (TWAS, 2008-2011), International Foundation for Sciences (IFS) fist grant (2010) and second grant (2012), British Ecological Society (BES, 2012), Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA, 2012).
