Department of Creative Art and Design

Introduction

The department of Creative Art and Design was established in 1993 under Chinhoyi Technical Teachers' College. Upon attainment of the University status of the former Technical Teachers' College in 2001, the department was upgraded to offer degrees in the Institute of Lifelong Learning.

The Department Of Creative Art and Design seeks to create opportunities for excellence in art and Design highly needed in Zimbabwe and the region.

The Department of Creative Art and Design is committed to the nurturing of creative, proficient and versatile practitioners in order to address the demand for highly creative personnel for both the public and private sectors.
 

Aims

The Department of Creative Art and Design aims at giving students an understanding of historical, theoretical, philosophical concepts and precepts and a technical facility in their major areas of study along with a broad range of professional and entrepreneurial skills.
