INTRODUCTION
The Bachelor of Technology Honours Degree in Computing and Information Technology is a four-year full time degree programme. The programme of study comprises six semesters of full-time studies at the University and two semesters of Industrial Attachment.
Computing and Information Technology is a discipline that seeks to establish and apply mathematical, scientific and engineering principles to a variety of topics in computing and information technology.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The objectives of the programme are to:
- Produce highly qualified graduates who are able to understand and operate effectively in the world of challenging and changing information and computing technology
- Produce graduates who are proficient in designing and implementing software and hardware solutions, including networking
- Equip the graduates with both technical and entrepreneurial skills

Qualifications for entry to programme
Normal Entry:
Candidates should:-
- Have passed at least 5 subjects at General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level including Mathematics
- Normally, English Language at "O" level is a requirement.
- Have good Advanced Level passes in Mathematics and any other two subjects e.g. Computing, Physics, Chemistry and Statistics.

Special Entry
- Have passed at least 5 subjects at General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level including Mathematics and English Language
- Hold at least a Diploma in an approved Computer Science field or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions
- The University should be satisfied that the candidate would be able to complete the programme.
