Introduction

The Institute of Lifelong Learning is currently the only Institute in the University. The Institute brings together expertise from all over the University and demonstrates the University's commitment to ensure that students from all backgrounds and ages are able to access higher education.

Vision and Mission

Our vision is to become a center of excellence in teaching, learning and research within the context of rapid technology changes through the promotion of a culture of lifelong learning.

OBJECTIVES

To provide teaching and learning for a healthy developed individual centred on the development of enterprising and lifelong learning cultures.

Duration Of Programmes

All degree programmes are four-year full time courses of study except Bachelor of Technology Education, which takes two years and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education that takes three years. Each academic year is made up of two semesters and at the end of each semester, examinations are taken for the courses covered.
The Diploma programmes are three-year full time courses of study except for the Advanced Diploma in Technology, which runs for three semesters. The students are on attachment for at least six months during the second year.
