PREAMBLE

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education degree produces graduates who will assume roles of nursing educators in today's technologically demanding health service delivery system. Graduates will be equipped with skills to prepare, deliver and evaluate nursing education programmes in the development of nursing personnel in general nursing, psychiatric nursing or midwifery nursing.
 

AIM

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education degree programme aims to prepare nursing educators who will perform their duties efficiently and effectively in a classroom and clinical setting.
 

OBJECTIVES

The degree programme intends to:

upgrade students` knowledge and skills in nursing equip students with educational and training skills in nursing impart knowledge and skills of adult teaching and learning enable students to design instructional curricula appropriate for the development of nursing manpower

Qualifications for entry to programme

Normal Entry:
  Candidates should:-

The candidate must have passed 5 'O' level subjects including English language and a Science subject The candidate must be registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe as a General Nurse A Diploma or higher qualification in nursing from an institution recognized by this University At least five years post qualification experience in health institutions A' Level passes will be an added advantage
